Celebrity-Interracial-Couples (Three)

Taye Quote: On being married to someone of another race:"I know that it disappoints some people and I can understand that. I don't tolerate it but I can understand that. But I think when it comes down to it, people are just much smarter than that." Idina Quote: On receiving threats for being married to someone of another race: "I just wish people were more tolerant, understanding - it's such a ridiculous thing to get worked up about. How is it any of this guy's business?" "Tidina": The CoupleTaye and Idina were married in January 11, 2003. In 2004, they were in the news after People Magazine reported they received hate letters and threats for being "sellouts to their races." The offender was later taken into police custody.
"Tidina" - is a term coined back in 1996, way before the "Bennifer" phenomenon, by hardcore New York RENT fans. It's a combination of "Taye (Diggs)" and "Idina" because the couple was always seen together before and after the show. It has stuck ever since (for devoted fans, at least).
Besides RENT, the two have also performed together in:
The Today 4 U benefit; singing Jon Larson's "You Call My Name" Idina's adorable/steamy music video for "Minuet" The off-broadway musical "The Wild Party" The film "Just a Kiss" (2002) - InterracialFriends

Recent Interracial Dating Report in 2007

More than eight-in-ten Americans (83%) now agree that "it??s all right for blacks and whites to date," reflecting the most dramatic change among the racial attitudes tested in Pew polls--as recently as 1987, the public was divided virtually down the middle on the issue, with 48% approving of blacks and whites dating and 46% disapproving. Age is an important factor in attitudes toward interracial dating.

In this regard, Pew surveys since 1987 have documented two complementary trends: Each new generation is more tolerant than the one that precedes it. At the same time, members of each generation have become increasingly tolerant as it ages. Together, these trends help explain the increase in expressions of tolerance toward interracial dating in recent decades. Nearly two-thirds of all Americans born before 1946 (65%) say it is acceptable for whites to date blacks. Two decades ago, about three-quarters of blacks (74%) felt interracial dating was acceptable. Today, nearly all African Americans (97%) believe that interracial dating is acceptable.

Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Their 2 Babies - A Special Interracial Family

It's got to be difficult traveling all over the world with
Maddox, Shiloh, Zahara, and Pax, but Brangelina manages to pull it off.

It is heard that Angelina Jolie and Pitt are shutting each other out. Angie had called Pitt ‘stupid’ when it comes to finances.
Angie is also upset with Pitt because she does not want him to have a ‘Guy’s night out’, which he has been regularly been doing.
Angie is not fond of on of Pitt’s close friends but Pitt constantly keeps meeting him and this annoys Angie very much.
Angie doesn’t get along well with Pitt’s friends and this is creating problems between the couple.
